01Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Ukki, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

02Eligibility

To use Ukki you must be at least 18 years old, capable of entering into a legally binding contract, and complete KYC verification. If you list a vehicle, you confirm that you are its lawful owner (or are duly authorised to sell it) and that the information you provide is true and complete.

03What Ukki is — and isn’t

Ukki is a marketplace and facilitation platform. We connect buyers and sellers and coordinate services — inspection, secure payment handling, financing, logistics and paperwork — that make a private used-car sale safer. Ukki is not the buyer or seller of the vehicle, does not take ownership of it, and is not a party to the sale contract between you and your counterparty.

The sale itself is a transaction between the buyer and the seller. Ukki facilitates it but does not guarantee the conduct of either party beyond the services we expressly provide.

04Accounts & KYC

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. KYC is mandatory before a deal can go live. We may refuse, suspend or reverse verification, or decline a transaction, where we reasonably suspect fraud, misrepresentation or a breach of these Terms.

05Listings, deals & the buyer–seller relationship

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listing, price and vehicle condition. Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves about the vehicle, including via the inspection we facilitate. A deal becomes binding when both parties agree a price through the platform and the deal goes live; from that point the milestones (inspection, payment, delivery and transfer) proceed as described in the product.

06Fees & payments

Ukki charges a platform fee of 1% of the agreed vehicle price to the buyer and 1% to the seller, applied only on a successful deal — inspection, paperwork and the RC transfer are covered by it. Door-to-door delivery (logistics) is the only separately priced service and is shown to you before you book it. All fees are inclusive of or subject to applicable taxes as indicated at checkout. Fees are governed by our Refund Policy.

07Payment protection

The buyer transfers the deal payment by bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS) to a designated Ukki bank account. Ukki holds the amount on the buyer’s behalf and pays the seller only after the agreed milestones — typically inspection and delivery — are met. This protects both sides: the seller knows the money is committed, and the buyer’s funds are not released until the car is delivered. Held amounts are not lent out, do not earn the buyer interest, and are used solely to settle or refund the deal they belong to.

08Inspection, logistics & paperwork

Inspections, transport and documentation are carried out by certified third-party partners. An inspection report reflects the condition observed at the time of inspection and is not a warranty of future performance. Ukki coordinates these services and is responsible for facilitating them, but the underlying outcome (for example, the vehicle’s condition or RTO processing times) depends on factors outside our control.

09Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short, held deal payments — including the platform fee — are returned to the buyer in full if a deal is cancelled before release, and the delivery (logistics) charge is refundable only where the delivery has not been performed.

10Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false identity, ownership or vehicle information
• List a vehicle you do not own or are not authorised to sell, or one that is stolen, encumbered beyond disclosure, or subject to legal restriction
• Attempt to take a transaction off-platform to avoid fees or protections
• Circumvent KYC, payment or inspection safeguards
• Use Ukki for money laundering, fraud or any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with, scrape or attempt to disrupt the platform

11Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Ukki is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for the acts or omissions of buyers, sellers or third-party partners, for the condition or roadworthiness of any vehicle, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are found liable, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid to Ukki for the transaction giving rise to the claim.

12Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Ukki harmless against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the platform, or your dealings with a counterparty.

13Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or use the platform unlawfully. You may stop using Ukki at any time; obligations that by their nature should survive termination (such as fees due, indemnities and liability limits) will continue to apply.

14Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Ukki shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue quickly.

15Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, by notifying you. Continued use of Ukki after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
